MIX NYC is looking for 4 Programmers and several Screeners to help devise the program for this year's festival, which takes place in November.

Screeners must be available for at least 3 hours/week from May 1-Aug 1, to view films, rate them, and write clear, concise analyses of each.

Programmers undertake most of their work from Jun 1-Sep 15. This involves screening select films culled from the screening process and attending meetings to discuss films and finalize the festival program in collaboration with the Director of Programming. Programmers are also expected to participate in film/maker research and solicitation, as needed, and may be asked to contribute to writing program material. One Programmer will also be responsible for specific tasks in FilmFreeway.

We will be reaching out to applicants on a rolling basis as applications come in, until March 30, 2025. This is an unpaid opportunity; currently, nobody who works at MIX is paid. We are earnestly working to change this. If funds become available in 2025, we will compensate Screeners with an honorarium based on the amount of hours they view, and compensate Programmers at a flat rate. Fill out the form to apply!
