Mama’s
Boy
Friday,
November 17, 9 p.m.
Maya
Deren Theater
It’s
no wonder that we have a devotion to our mothers! Who else weaned
us to appreciate beauty and make-up? Who was our role-model that
dragged us to church and made us kneel before our Father? Who let
us go astray, to explore the world, to suffer the truths, and to
be eaten by giant cockroaches, yet knowing full well that we would
come running back into her open arms with a rolling camera in our
hands? There ain’t no one to blame but our mamas. Unless, of course,
it was our papas.
